Chandigarh Golf Club
The company have completed a thorough analysis and assessment of the golf course on behalf of the Club, to help define improvements to bunkering, tee positions and turf conditioning, with options for adjusting the layout, primarily to try to avoid the crossing holes that exist at the end of the front-nine.
A very heavily used course, there are upwards of 100,000 rounds per year played on it, making it a very difficult course to manage from an agronomic point of view.
The Hemstock Design team also helped technically, introducing Ryegrass overseeding for better winter conditions, and methods for improving rooting depth and grass vigour. The 18th hole has already been adjusted by the Club’s own staff, with a rolling programme of amendments planned over the coming years.
