Flaxby Park Golf Course
David Hemstock produced the acclaimed Flaxby Park Golf Club 27-holes following 7 years of earthworks, building a baffle mound with the A1M motorway to give the courses a sense of seclusion. Over 500,000 cubic metres of soil was moved to shape the course, with high-specification USGA-type greens, 5 tees per hole, 10 new ponds and lakes, over 25,000 new trees planted, and a state-of-the art driving range and golf academy; the building designed by the company.
The driving range was designed with tees at both ends, over 300 yards apart, spacious enough not to require any ball-stop fencing around it, giving the impression of practising on the main course. The hi-tech bespoke academy around the range was designed with the Club Manager and Pro, with turf putting green, chipping zone and a variety of bunkers types and sand fill.

Flaxby Park is an acclaimed 18-hole championship-standard layout, just short of 7,000 yards in length, built alongside a challenging 9-hole resort-style course.
The 9-hole ‘East’ course, a tough but relatively short 6,000-yard equivalent length layout, intended to complement the main course for golf society use and pay-and-play golfers, opened in 2007, and was an immediate success.
Currently, the golf course is under consideration for incorporation into a residential complex.
